ALL
Quarter 1 Report Cards were available in the HS office during Parent-Teacher Conferences--report cards were sent home with students whose parents did not attend Conferences.
--ALL Spanish Classes: YOU SHOULD BE STUDYING at least 15 MINUTES every night IN ADDITION TO ANY HOMEWORK!!!!!
--English 1 starts literature! Think DEEP!
--English 2 Essentials starts the first BIG speech for our communications unit. Check the assignment and schedule HERE.

ALL students AND parents should have online access to all grades. Paper progress reports will no longer be sent home--it is the responsibility of both students and parents to check grades online.

There are parent meetings on 10/01 and 10/02 at 5:30pm in the H.S. gym about Parent Connect the online grade system the high school is now using. Parents must pick up info before students can access their account.
--Spanish 2 & 3 have tests this week and will start new units of study. Spanish 1 is moving through their first major unit--be sure to study at least 15 minutes a night in addition to your homework.
--English 2 Ess. is starting the Speech Communications unit which will last the remainder of the semester.
--English 1 continues to work on Grammar--be sure to ask for help if you need it!

09/20/2008:
--There was a mistake with the Spanish 2 progress reports--SORRY! All grades should be slightly higher--new reports will be sent home on Monday, Sept. 22.
--English 2 Essentials has JC Act IV & V quiz on Tuesday with the Final JC test on Thursday!
--English 1 is finishing up "The Odyssey" and will begin grammar--remember as freshmen, you are responsible for ALL of Chapter 1 (parts of speech)--we will NOT review these, instead build upon the concepts and rules. The answer key for all Chapter 1 activities have been available both in the classroom and online for the past 4 weeks.
--All Spanish classes have started new chapters--in addition to homework, Spanish students should be studying/reviewing a minimum of 15 minutes EVERY NIGHT!

09/08/2008:
--This week English 1 has both Book 21-23 quiz AND the FINAL Odyssey test. Spanish 1 has their first test. Tests for Spanish 2 & 3 as well. English 2 Essentials has Act II and then I-III test.

09/01/2008:
--English 1 is working on "The Odyssey". English 2 Essentials is working on "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar". Spanish classes should be studying at least 15 minutes EVERY night IN ADDITION to homework. Spanish 3 should be working on reviewing verb tenses.
